Twilight: Things You Never Knew

I've been a twilight fanatic, and this drives me to research about a few little things we never knew about the characters and the "Twilight" itself.

* Edward was born in the year of 1901 and has stayed the same age of 17 for decades.

* What was Edward's last name before he became a vampire? Masen

* Kirsten Stewart has naturally green eyes. She has natural green eyes and she wears brown contact lense for filming because Bella is supposed to have brown eyes in the movie.

* Kellen Lutz has filmed "Generation Kill" in 2008, he is required a buzz cut and his hair didn't grow fast enough for the filming of Twilight in which he needs a natural curly hair for the role of Emmett Cullen.

* Robert Pattinson was not the first choice to portray Edward Cullen, it was Henry Cavill the first choice of Stephenie Meyer to play Edward. But he was already 25 years old and no longer looked the part of a 17-year old. He was then offered the part of Carlisle Cullen but turned it down due to his commitment with "The Tudors" (2007).

* Twilight series are New Moon, Eclipse and Breaking Dawn.

* Robert Pattinson flew from England to director Catherine Hardwicke's house to audition for the role of Edward Cullen,There, he and Kirsten Stewart who was already cast as Bella Swan, rehearsed the "Love Scene"/"Meadow Scene" on Hardwicke's own bed.

* All of the actors playing the Cullens wear topaz-colored contacts.

* Taylor Lautner had to wear a wig for his role as Jacob Black.

* Over 5,000 actors auditioned for the role of Edward.

* According to a July interview between network.nationalpost.com and director Catherine Hardwicke,Kirsten Stewart was recommended for the role of Bella Swan by Emile Hirsch, her co-star from Into the Wild (2007) and whom Hardwicke directed in Lord of DogTown(2005).

* The script was finished in 6 weeks.

* Robert Pattinson stated in an interview that this is his first American role and he had no formal training to perfect his American accent.

* Stepehenie Meyer made a non-speaking cameo in Twilight (2008/I). She can be seen in a scene when Bella and Charlie go out to dinner in Forks.

* In Zathura (2005) Kirsten Stewart 's character quips, "We never should have rented Thirteen (2003)".Thirteen (2003) was directed byCatherine Hardwicke, who is the director of Twilight (2008/I), and also starred and was co-written by Nikki Reed.

* Since Kirsten Stewart was a minor during most of the filming she wore hair pieces so they didn't have to waste time doing her hair, and therefore had more time to shoot.

* Kirsten Stewart turned eighteen while filming the movie and was rewarded with a birthday cake - and a full night of shooting.

* The actors who played vampires needed to be pale, so it was written into their contracts that they had to stay out of the sun.

* Nikki Reed(Rosalie Hale) learned how to play baseball left-handed for the famous baseball scene.

* Stephenie Meyer cited the band Linkin Park as her source of inspiration to write her books that the band themselves provided a song for the film's soundtrack.

* What brand of car does Edward drive? Volvo

* Stephenie Meyer acknowledges other authors that partially inspired her. One in particular was J.K. Rowling of the Harry Potter book/film series. Coincidentally, actor Robert Pattinson starred in one of the Harry Potter films.

*On the cover of "Twilight", there are two hands holding an apple. It is when Bella and Edward were in the school cafeteria chatting, Bella was holding an apple in her hands.

* Bella's full name is Isabella Marie Swan


Here in the Philippines, the premier was last night at Robinson''s Galleria and I'm excited to see this movie.. g2g folks!
