How to clean up your infected PC: (for free) (and keep it clean)

1) Download, install, update and run MalwareBytes’ Anti-Malware at
http://malwarebytes.org/mbam.php (free)
2) Download, install, update and run Spybot Search & Destroy at
http://www.safer-networking.org/en/download/index.html (free)
3) If your current Antivirus program is asking for money for new
definitions, uninstall it and download, install, update and run AVG Free
Antivirus (Free basic protection) http://free.avg.com/
4) Visit Microsoft Update now http://update.microsoft.com/windowsupdate
and get all critical updates.
5) If you have Limewire, Kazaa, Bearshare, Morpheus, iMesh or the like
uninstall them because you if you don’t you’ll probably re-infect
yourself.
6) From time to time, open MalwareBytes’ Anti-Malware and Spybot
Search & Destroy, update them and scan your PC again. AVG will run
it’s own scan each day automatically.
7) Update the Java used by your web browser to the latest version (read
install carefully and uncheck any boxes asking to install an extra
toolbar or program) http://www.java.com/en/download/
8) Update the Adobe Reader to the latest version
http://www.adobe.com/go/EN_US-H-GET-READER
9) Update the Adobe Flash Player used by your web browser to the latest
version http://www.adobe.com/go/EN_US-H-GET-FLASH

Dual Boot Windows XP and Vista

There are times when I need to use XP. You may have your own reasons for use of both systems, or you may just have a licenses for Vista and XP and want to use them both. It doesn’t matter if you already have Windows Vista installed or Windows XP installed.

Just use either of the following guides titled Install Vista after Installing XP‖ or Install XP after Installing Vista‖.

Before you begin, please note: it is easier to install XP
first – if you are starting from scratch.

Create Partitions for Your Installations

You either need to install each operating system on a different physical disk or you will need to partition your drive before attempting a dual boot. Each partition should be a primary partition. Google will point you in the right direction if you don’t know how to partition your drive.

Install Vista after Installing XP

Installing Vista is really easy if you already have Windows XP installed. Simply boot from your Windows Vista installation disc, select the disk or partition you wish to install Vista on (make sure you don’t install Vista on the XP partition), and Windows will take care of itself. After installing Vista, you will be presented with a boot screen offering you to boot to Windows Vista or an earlier version of Windows (XP.)

Install XP after Installing Vista

1. Simply boot from your Windows XP installation disk,
select the disk or partition you wish to install XP on
(make sure you don’t install XP on the Vista partition),
and Windows will take care of itself
.
2. Now boot from your Vista installation DVD. Click
Next on the regional settings screen and click on
Repair Your Computer. Select the Vista install and run
the Startup Repair.

3. The next step is to tell Vista that XP exists by adding
an entry for XP to the Vista boot manager. In Windows
Vista, click Start and type Run. Right click on the
shortcut and select Run as Administrator…

Run the following commands in the same order they
are presented here:
bcdedit /create {ntldr} /d ―Windows XP‖
bcdedit /set {ntldr} device boot
bcdedit /set {ntldr} path \ntldr
bcdedit /displayorder {ntldr} /addlast
Now reboot your computer and you should have the
option to boot to either Windows XP or Windows Vista.

Twilight: Things You Never Knew

I've been a twilight fanatic, and this drives me to research about a few little things we never knew about the characters and the "Twilight" itself.

* Edward was born in the year of 1901 and has stayed the same age of 17 for decades.

* What was Edward's last name before he became a vampire? Masen

* Kirsten Stewart has naturally green eyes. She has natural green eyes and she wears brown contact lense for filming because Bella is supposed to have brown eyes in the movie.

* Kellen Lutz has filmed "Generation Kill" in 2008, he is required a buzz cut and his hair didn't grow fast enough for the filming of Twilight in which he needs a natural curly hair for the role of Emmett Cullen.

* Robert Pattinson was not the first choice to portray Edward Cullen, it was Henry Cavill the first choice of Stephenie Meyer to play Edward. But he was already 25 years old and no longer looked the part of a 17-year old. He was then offered the part of Carlisle Cullen but turned it down due to his commitment with "The Tudors" (2007).

* Twilight series are New Moon, Eclipse and Breaking Dawn.

* Robert Pattinson flew from England to director Catherine Hardwicke's house to audition for the role of Edward Cullen,There, he and Kirsten Stewart who was already cast as Bella Swan, rehearsed the "Love Scene"/"Meadow Scene" on Hardwicke's own bed.

* Nikki Reed(Rosalie Hale) learned how to play baseball left-handed for the famous baseball scene.

* Stephenie Meyer cited the band Linkin Park as her source of inspiration to write her books that the band themselves provided a song for the film's soundtrack.

* What brand of car does Edward drive? Volvo

* Stephenie Meyer acknowledges other authors that partially inspired her. One in particular was J.K. Rowling of the Harry Potter book/film series. Coincidentally, actor Robert Pattinson starred in one of the Harry Potter films.

*On the cover of "Twilight", there are two hands holding an apple. It is when Bella and Edward were in the school cafeteria chatting, Bella was holding an apple in her hands.

By 2010, Internet Could Run Out of Capacity

Recently, I've read an interesting news about the internet and it says that by 2010, Internet could run out of capacity. Researchers showed that consumers and corporate use of the internet could overload the current capacity and lead to brownouts in 2 years unless backbone providers invest billions of dollars in new infrastracture.

A flood of new video and other Web content could overwhelm the Internet by 2010 unless backbone providers invest up to $317 billion in new capacity, more than doulble what service providers plan to invest, according to the study by Nemertes Research LLC, an independent analysis firm. In North America alone, backbone investments of $42 billion to $55 billion will be needed in the next three to 5 years to keep up with demand, Nemertes said.

The findings of the study indicate that although core fiber and switching/routing resources will scale nicely to support virtually any conceivable user demand, internet access infrastracture specifically in North America will likely cease to be adequate for supporting demand within the next three to five years.

The study suggests that demand for web applications such as streaming and interactive video, peer to peer file transfers and music downloads will accelerate, creating a demand for more capacity.

Internet users will create 161 exabytes of new data this year and this exaflood is a positive development for internet users and businesses. An exabyte is 1 quintillion bytes of about 1.1 billion Gb. One Exabyte is the equivalent of about 50,000 years of DVD quality video.

Video has unleashed an explosion of Internet content and exaflood is generally not well understood and its investment implications not well-defined. The responsibility for keeping up with this growing demand lies with backbone providers and national policymakers.

I think, the very best thing to do for now is treasure what we have now like the internet which is very helpful in the business sector as well as to each of everyone of us who uses the internet as another way of communication.

iPhone's hottest game, released

(CNN) --The new iPhone with its glassy touch screen, powerful graphics, crisp sound and tilt feature, the iPhone is more than a smart phone for some users -- it's a portable entertainment system. Steve Demeter, developer of "trism" demonstrates his game via webcast to CNN.com's Nicole Lapin. Demeter is a former ATM software designer for a large bank, created "Trism" in his spare time. He sold it and pitched it to Apple last spring. Demeter, 29, who lives in the California's San Francisco Bay area. "I'm very honored that so many people would enjoy my game. I get e-mails from 50-year-old ladies who say, "I don't play games, but I love Trism.' That's the coolest thing."The company made the game available for download with the July launch of its App Store, an online provider of applications for its iPods and iPhones. The game is priced at $5, "Trism" earned Demeter $250,000 in profits the first two months.

App Store and iPhone have helped democratize game development by opening the field to any software coder with talent and a clever idea, industry observers say, because it can take million of dollars and a lot of game developers to create a video game.
